Megan & Chris {A Love Story}

The day has finally arrived!
The images are done and ready to be shared from this beautiful outdoor
St. Albert engagement session.

When Megan first contacted me in early December, she told me she wanted a short thirty-minute photoshoot resulting in a few images she could share with friends and family.

St Albert Engagement Photography Session

Since I have been involved with the Arts & Heritage Foundation continually since 2011, my mind went straight to the  heritage sites around town.

I suggested we go to the CN trestle bridge spanning the Sturgeon River in St. Albert, an ideal photography location and where I thought we could get a variety of poses in during that timeframe and we booked it in.

Unfortunately Chris got called away for work the morning of the shoot.
As disappointed as we all were with this turn of events, it turned out to be a blessing as it allowed for even more creativity to come into play on both our sides.

We booked a cozy-coffee-time consultation and talked about their story, the vision, styling options and even prop ideas. And can I just say, how crafty is she?! I am still in love with the oversized Scrabble tiles she handmade.

Megan also had a vision to go to the St. Albert Botanic Park, which although I
have shot there before, I had not been to in the winter.

In late January our quick mini shoot turned into over an hour and a half
at these two stunning winter locations!
And ... well… I’ll let the images speak for themselves...

Location One: St. Albert's CNR 1907 Trestle Bridge
{a heritage site}

Location Two: St. Albert Botanic Park
{a winter edition}

And don't forget about that gorgeous custom ring!!!

I had such a blast shooting these two goofy and loving people,
and I can’t wait to do similar shoots in the future!
A big thank you to both Megan and Chris for asking me to be part of, and help share, their love story.
