It's the Holidays!!
I am so super excited to share a mini "I just did a cool thing" blog post!
On the 7th I visited the beautiful Mosaic Centre in Edmonton for the first time! It is such a stunning building, and is one of the most environmentally-conscious buildings in all of Canada (So obviously something for Edmontonians to boast about!).
Bethany from Bethany Ann Flowers & Styling hosted her first workshop at the Mosaic Centre and it was a huge success! Think mulled wine, charcuterie boards and every type of living green imaginable!
Oh and did I mention the Elderberry Syrup gift provided by Morse & Co. a St. Albert (my home town!) aromatherapy and homeopathic company.
Quick note: Elderberry Syrup is thought to aid in immune function and help digestion! Morse & Co. use all local, fresh and organic ingredients to create their products too! Totally my jam...
Anyways! On to the wreath! I opted to go au natural with my creation - basically picking everything green and outdoorsy - and I LOVED these little frosty cotton balls!
Once I picked my materials, I just started weaving - okay, shoving - the greens throughout the grapevine wreath, going for an asymmetrical look! Because, that's in right?
I added dried lotus pods, cute antlers (surprised? no, me neither!) and some berries for a pop!
The final Product?
While I love my little au natural door wreath, I will say that Bethany
does not need to worry about having any competition from me! ;)
I can't wait to try this again next holiday season with my friends!
Thank you Bethany for hosting such a fun night and for showing me how to be creative in a whole new way!!
